Project development issues

when it comes to the issue, I think there are several parts that are involve, first of all would be the skills that I need to start and finish this capstone with the 3D idea that I have. I only took one 3D class which was the introduction class lass semester and I have three of them this semester but these are just start and there are too many things that I do not know about them and for relying on this skill for doing a big project like capstone it is so scary, then next one is time, which if I wait till I gain more skill I will be out of time, resources like what kind of mentor I want to choose is another issue however not as big as other two. I do not think I would have problem with budget since it is years that I am working and running a family so those experience will help me here for sure.

Secondary Mentor

I think secondary mentor role is basically to help student and the first mentor in the area that second mentor is needed. For example I said I am looking to do some Architected 3D modeling so first mentor would be Albert or Clint that are expert on 3D and then secondary mentor can be somebody from engineering school with more knowledge about Architect than 3D. I think it won't be very good if both mentor that we choose are expert in one area, like both are expert in 3D so then there is no point of having secondary mentor to me, meanwhile it can cause some not wanted conflict between all three too. I exactly have no name for secondary mentor but if I choose to have one I will go with some one from engineering department or somebody from industry.

Mentor Profile

I am still struggling with my idea about capstone however it is definitely a 3D production which goes under two category that I am interested, short 3D Animation, or Modeling. Whatsoever I have in my mind and I am pretty interested about it is a Architected Model. I was thinking maybe a city modeling, not exactly complete city and entire town but part of it like down town of Indianapolis, or Carmel, or just Modeling a specific building, not exactly famous one but valuable in Architected view. There are different component that I am looking to choose mentor which goes in this categories. I think mentor has to be knowledgeable but also to know how to transfer this knowledge to the student to, I know this is not going to be a one by one teacher student class but still this transformation of information will happened. I think mentor has to be little flexible and not very stone minded and let student to play their role. Availability of mentor is something important too, and how he can play a major role to decrease the stress level for student is something important too. But most important for me is how much I can and I am comfortable with him or her, personally I do not need to be buddy with my mentor and this is not what I mean by comfort but having a warm relationship during capstone process would be so helpful for student. Mentors that are in my mind are: Albert, and Clint so far, I know Mattew Power is amazing but he is already out of time. I had and have classes with all three of them and I am very comfortable working with them, they all are very knowledgeable and very friendly and great project managers. All are very expert on what they are doing about 3D, specially Modeling and short Animation.
I still did not talk with any of them but have plan to have meeting with Albert and Clint at least till next week to see how this will work for me and them.

Peer Capstone

Hi, I think i want to do something with 3D as i mentioned it before in my capstone idea too. I would like to do short animation but i have no idea what exactly I am suppose to do or even I am capable to do it. I had a introduction class last semester in 3D and I have three advance class this semester and of course next one but still I am so confused. I think anybody who is interested to do 3D for their capstone would be a great match as a group. So far I sent an email for Jacob Ritter, Brandon Robert, and Samantha Tarkington since they are working on 3D too, so iI thought it would be a group to start and learn from each other knowledge and experiences.
