I do not know what exactly I want to do with my capstone, however I have a raw ideas in my mind. Since I am a New Media student and my focus and concern is most on 3D Animation I would like to do something with it. Theses ideas can be really different even though I know that 3D is my concern.
1- Making an Animation, this can be really a pain, specially for little time that I have, but it can be very very short animation to show basically my power over the concept and how I know to do it.
2- Can be a 3D modeling, which this can be a character modeling, which I like it mostly or can be some modeling in Science field.
3- Creating a scene from scratch at 3D softwares like Maya and then lightening it and texturing.
Since modeling, lightening are part of an Animation, they can be a great opportunity for me to show to viewer of my product that how much I do know about this stuff, and basically make me closer to getting a job at the field.

ReplyDeleteWould the third idea center around creating a small area? Like something you could see from all angles? Because that would be really cool. Every time I play videogames I always take a moment to appreciate the actual construction and visual aspects of the world. So I think doing something like that would show some talent. :D

ReplyDeleteKnowing what medium you want to work with is half the battle. Sounds like a good place to begin. =)

ReplyDeleteI think the scene (depending on what you mean) could be a good project. I'm sorta seeing it as a diorama, that would either allow people to "fly through" or would be visible through a video where the camera flies through.
I'm thinking of something like this, only rendered with 3D models versus a camera with physical objects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXeST0NMtic
